Hello and welcome. I’m the photographer! I’m also a former physics and ICT teacher, originally from the UK. I traded equations for adventure back in 2002. My journey started in the beautiful Seychelles and then took me to Hong Kong, where I eventually retired in 2016. Now, I’ve found a new home in the vibrant metropolis of Bangkok.
After retiring from teaching, I decided to make photography my main pastime. My years in Hong Kong were a huge influence on my early work, as I spent countless hours hiking in the mountains and along the coast. I became particularly fascinated with long-exposure seascapes, exploring Hong Kong’s coastline to capture silky-smooth compositions.
More recently, my travels in Asia have sparked a love for street photography. I find immense pleasure in interacting with people on the street; they are almost always welcoming and happy to pose for an impromptu picture. Capturing street portraits has opened up a whole new world for me, allowing me to connect with local people in a way I never would have imagined when I was starting out.
